Vietnamese factory was exposed because of fake products in Cambodia

The end of last year, I saw the news reporting that Vietnamese made fake cosmetics and medicine in Cambodia.

All fake products were French's.

And this matter was indicated by French embassy to Ministry of Health in Cambodia.

This Vietnamese made small factory to make fake products.

MoH collected more than 4t of products.

 

I think that the more severe problem is that French embassy need to ask to MoH.

Until French embassy complained, MoH had not noticed.

But we can not complain to MOh, because they don't have enough knowledge and skill.
This matter need comprehensively knowledge about medicine and healthcare manufacture but in Cambodia, there is a few factory of pharmaceutical manufacture and healthcare products manufacture. And also, in Pharmaceutical colleage’s study is not enough about pharmaceutics.
And then, before to enter university, almost students didn't learn about Chemials, Biology and Physics. It is not easy to understand Pharmaceutics.
 

I hope that Young Cambodian Pharmacist get enough skill with learning out side country to help this matter near future.

Advertisment of medicine and healthcare products

Now, in my living place, Cambodia, Phnom Penh, TV advertisements film of medicine and health care products, especially diet and beauty care, increases.
I could not understand Khmer language, but it is easy to guess the contents of these films, because they use many picture and CG graphics.
I am worry about people's understanding of these films.

Many medical workers of NGO in Cambodia said that common knowledge of people about health care is not enough to understand general information.

For long time, education contents in Cambodia has only literature and calculation.
Almost national people have not got any education other subject.
Why they can understand any word about health care or human body without health and physical education.

Cambodian Ministry of Health need to control the contents of advertisements.
But now, MoH provide permission of advertisements with payment for each products.
I think it is important to protect misunderstanding and misusing of medicine and health care products by people.

I hope that MoH can check the contents of advertisement without money.

ophthalmic ointment for little boy!

Yesterday, my sister-in-low asked me about her son's disease.

She said, her son got red eyes with swollen for  3days.
Father brought him to Cambodian clinic, and got oral medicine and ointment.
I wondered about 'ointment'!

Her son is still 5 years old.

It is not easy to use eye ointment.
And price of medicine was so cheap, less than 1$.

I could not check that ointment but I was worry about ophthalmic ointment!
How could 5-years-little boy use ophthalmic ointment!
And why did he need to take oral medicine? I guessed this medicine was antibiotics.

Basically, this type symptom is treated with only eye drop!

I gave her an antibiotics eye drops and explain to her how to use it.

And today, his eyes can become better!
That's enough!

A doctor who has not enough confidence wants to use too much medicine, I think.

For developing countries, I really recommend to set up this work field as pharmacist professional work.

This is really important field which pharmacist should be involved because there need to professional knowledge not only chemicals but also biochemistry, hygienics, pharmacology etc.

if you were pharmacist in a developing  country, please check your society...

* Who check water condition in public area like school, factory?
* Who check air pollution and condition in public area?
* Who check Illuminance level in school?

Do you know that if a class room has not enough illuminance, the number of children who got headache increase.
